Due to the Glass Fire, Valley of the Moon Children’s center was evacuated. Due to fire and smoke damages the 16+ kids along with staff who were evacuated aren’t able to return to the facility until the end of November. In the interim they will live in a new location without the unusual amenities of the emergency home (kitchen, laundry facilities, etc). If you’d like to support them, these are some of the needs they have:

Gift cards from restaurants (Dominos, Mountain Mikes anything near Rohnert Park)
Grocery gift cards including Safeway, Target, Walmart, Costco, Oliver’s
Some hygiene supplies
A few fans since there is no air conditioning
Some duffle bags**
Rolls of quarters for the laundromat

**Because of Covid, everything has to be new and in the store packaging. Although, if someone has a few fans they want to donate used, I think we can clean them.

Please let me know if you or your church have any interest in donating. I’d be happy to collect any donations and deliver. Or if you’d be more comfortable I can put you in direct contact with Valley of the Moon’s donations coordinator.

Let me know if you have any questions!

All the best,
Britton Kendall

Currently, DOZIN’s restoration and recovery home provides transitional and permanent care for orphaned, abandoned, and abused children who are in need of immediate intervention and holistic care. Our children are receiving the love and attention found in real homes with real families.  As you can imagine, the pandemic affects non-profit organizations in a unique way, as they rely on generosity to fund their programming.
