Easter is all about Jesus, and that makes it one of the best times of the year to get a picture of what it means to be a Christian. We hope that you’ll come and find the teaching helpful in working through what you believe or what it means for everyday life. Do you have any plans for Easter? Whether you’ve gone to church your whole life or you’ve never stepped foot in the door, we hope that you’ll consider joining us this Easter
#1 – COME AS YOU ARE
Easter meets us where we are, no matter who we are. It’s an open invitation. God welcomes anyone and everyone to know him and be part of his family, and at SRCC we try and do the same.
Church was never meant to be a place where people feel excluded. God knows you by name because you’re a person made in his image. So, whatever your lifestyle, race, ethnicity, wardrobe, denomination or lack thereof, we hope that you feel welcome to join us. Come as you are.
#2 – YOU HAVE QUESTIONS
The honest truth is that we all have questions. At SRCC, we’re committed to being a place where it’s safe to ask them. We don’t expect you to have all the answers or know where you stand before you show up.
Think of it as a next step – While we fully believe in the death and resurrection of Jesus, no one’s looking to convince you or win a debate. Church isn’t for people who have all the answers, it’s for people who are looking for them.
#3 – SOMEONE INVITED YOU
An invitation is a meaningful thing. It says, “I see you. This matters. Come be a part of this.” When someone asks you to join in on something they’re doing, it’s usually because they’ve had a good experience – they see value in it, and they want you to share in that. They’re telling you it’s worth your time to check it out.
At the end of the day, we hope that you have a place where it’s safe to unpack your spiritual questions, where you feel welcome and where you can experience the genuine love of God through His people he calls the church.
